Veggie Filled Homemade Hamburger Helper
Ingredients
-
1lb
ground beef (or turkey)
-
1
small onion
-
3/4cup
chopped veggies
-
1teaspoon
paprika
-
1teaspoon
garlic powder
-
1/2teaspoon
onion powder
-
1/2teaspoon
pepper
-
1/2teaspoon
salt
-
8oz
tomato sauce
-
1cup
beef broth
-
1 1/4cups
milk
-
2cups
macaroni
-
2-3cup
cheese
Instructions
-
After it has been browned, add the chopped veggies. I actually threw my vegetables into my food processor to make them extra small (and therefore extra hard to pick out).
Add all of the spices and stir them in.
Next add the tomato sauce, beef broth, milk, and macaroni. Stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes with a cover slightly vented, or until macaroni is tender.
Add the cheese, stir in, and allow to melt before serving.
