Well friends, that happened on Tuesday, and on Saturday I whipped up this delightfully yummy drink.
Mulled. Apple. Cider. Sangria.
Â
Seriously it is so tasty. Â Even the hubs thought so!
What makes this recipe a little different is that it is made with moscato (Barefoot, nothing fancy here), not red wine.  Apple cider just seems like it pairs better with a white wine, so that’s what I did.  Since the moscato and cider are both pretty sweet I added a bit of brandy as well.  Other than the liquids I added some cloves, cinnamon sticks, an apple and a bit of an orange peel.  I threw it all in the crockpot and cooked it on low for about an hour and half.
The result was everything I could have hoped for!
It’s so easy to make, it would be great to serve at a party, or make just because.  All you have to do is through everything in the crockpot.
- 1 bottle moscato
- 2 cups apple cider
- 3/4 cup brandy
- 1 sliced apple
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- peel from 1/4 of an orange
- 1 chunked apple
- Put all ingredients in crockpot and let simmer for 1.5-2 hours.
There you have it.  So easy, and it’s sure to please a crowd!
