I think that Spring has finally shown up here in Michigan. Â Before we know it summer will be knocking on the door, and with that comes friends, fun, and BBQs. Â And what BBQ is complete without some delicious adult beverages? My go to drinks are made with the world’s favorite, and most awarded rum, Bacardi Rum.
Msg 4 21+ Head to the blog to get a tasty chocolate rum float recipe! #BacardiAndCoke #CollectiveBias Share on XDid you know that rum cocktails are among the ten most popular drinks? Â And I can understand why. Bacardi Rum is light, with hints of vanilla and apricot, making is extremely mixable. Â While the standard Rum and Coke is a great go-to, why not branch out and try more delicious, but easy to make cocktails, like this Rum and Coke float.
When I was grocery shopping last I made sure to pick up some Bacardi Superior Rum.
I also picked up some Coca-Cola® Mini Cans. These mini cans are really great for this recipe, since a whole can would be too much.
Making this drink is so easy!
Start by pouring 1.5 ounces of Bacardi Rum into a glass or mason jar.
Add a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Slowly pour a Coke Mini Can over the ice cream. It helps if the the Coke is cold, so that the ice cream doesn’t melt too quickly.
Top with whipped cream and a cherry if desired.
Just in case you wanted a printable version:
- Bacardi Rum
- Mini Coke Cans
- Chocolate ice cream
- whipped cream
- Maraschino cheery
- Pour a shot or two of Bacardi Rum into a glass or mason jar.
- Put in a scoop of ice cream.
- Top with a can of mini Coke. Be sure the Coke is cold.
- Add whipped cream and a cherry if desired.
See, wasn’t that so easy?? I know when I’m hosting I don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen when I could be mingling. This drink is so easy guests can even put it together themselves.  Simply put all the ingredients out so that guests can create their perfect float. A little hint, or at least what I do when ice cream is involved: pre-scoop into cupcake liners, and keep in the freezer until it’s time for the party to start.  Then simply put the scoops into a dish so guest can just grab one and they are good to go.
What about you? What your favorite, easy to make, rum drink?Â
