I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this on the blog, but I love cheese. When I was pregnant with Annabelle I ate all the cheese, and I haven’t stopped. Now that I am older, and I like to think wiser, I have discovered the wonders that are a cheese plates. I’m not talking simply cheese and crackers (which are still good), but that wide selection of cheeses, crackers, fruit, and all sorts of yummy items.
This holiday season, when planing a party, why not check out Stella Cheeses? They are flavorful and combine old world craftsmanship with rich dairy heritage. Plus they date back to 1923. It’s so easy to make everyday gourmet by using Stella Cheeses.
Today I wanted to show how easy it is to step up your cheese plate game by using Stella Cheese.
I knew I wanted something a little bit fancy than your run of the mill cheese and crackers, so I picked up the Italian 3 Cheese Blend and used it to create cheese crisps. Cheese crisps, You know those wafer-y disks of yummyness you find on your salad in fancy restaurants. They are super simple to make.
- 8 oz Stella Italian 3 Cheese Blend
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie tray with parchment paper.
- 2. Using a tablespoon of cheese make little circles. Be sure to spread the cheese out so it is not in a mound. If you leave it in a mound the edges will be crisp and the inside will be all gooey.
- 4. Bake for 5-10 minute or until the crisps are slightly golden. You want to keep an eye on them as they can go from done to burnt pretty quickly.
- 5 . Serve with a dip, or place on your cheese tray and just snack on them.
Now that you have those yummy crisps done, lets add some more to your cheese tray. I used Stella Cheese’s Fontinella, which is a semi hard cheese that is sweet and creamy with just a hint of sharpness. It tastes great plain, as well as with crackers. Since it melts beautifully it’s also great to use sauces and casseroles.
To finish up my tray I added some nuts, chocolate, and fruit. I love how Stella Cheeses helped me to up my cheese tray game.
